REQUESTING USE OF THE BIBLE

The George Washington Inaugural Bible is wholly owned by St. John's Lodge No. 1, A.Y.M. as it has been since it was originally gifted to us by its lodge Master in 1770.  They have been faithful caretakers of it for over two centuries.

Occasionally, the George Washington Bible is permitted to “travel” for public viewing. Primarily this is reserved to Museums, Historic Sites or for events of a Freemasonic nature. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and are reviewed by St. John’s Lodge No.1, not the Foundation. It is important that you read and review the attached information booklet. Also, please enter as much detail as possible  for prompt consideration of your request. Thank you.
